“Coco Chanel” Wheat Ear Side Table

Emblematic gold metal side table, after Coco Chanel because she had one in her apartment on Rue Cambon in Paris. It represents a sheaf of wheat ears held by a twisted link supporting a circular glass top. The contact of the glass top on the base is made at three points. It is said that it was designed by Robert Goosens, her jewelry designer and former blacksmith. Yves Saint Laurent also had several of these tables at home. The glass table has slight scratches from use. One of the stems of the foot needs to be straightened. French work, made in the 1970s. Dimensions: H 47 X D 80 cm.
