Saffron rug 360x177cm

Large rug, traditional artisanal Berber from the Meknes region. 1990s, 100% wool. A fine, soft, lightweight weave, with a palette of soft colours ranging from ochre to saffron to light brown beige. The rug is almost 40 years old. The colours have faded a bit, but this adds to its character. Geometric Berber patterns, as often seen in rugs from the tribes of the Middle Atlas in Morocco. This rug was made by hand in an artisanal manner. It is possible that there may be irregularities in the weaving and colours, which confirms its artisanal authenticity.
