The disaster buffet! In 1944, it was not only necessary to rebuild France, but also to refurnish it... Then the provisional government asked René Gabriel, one of the most renowned designers of the time, to design a series of simple and robust furniture that the french could then buy... Against ration tickets! Quickly nicknamed "furniture of the victims", they are still in high demand today. I propose this buffet which dates from the period 1944-1948, in solid oak and plywood (panel of the sides and top). It was varnished in dark oak color. The veneer on top was bent, I removed it and leaves you the choice: either I make the veneer in the same shade, or I can sand and repaint the whole buffet to give it a more modern look, for example in basque red and yellow... Or what will go inside your home. Other than that it is in excellent condition, no sparkle, no trace. The keys to the doors are missing, which is not in any way inconvenient. I can also leave it as well, in this case I leave it cheaper of course...
