Super iconic, award-winning, what more can be said, these are undoubtedly the most comfortable office chairs ever created. They are fully stamped with the model number under the base and the Eames label on the back. The Aluminium chair is one of the great furniture designs of the 20th century. Charles and Ray Eames designed and developed this chair in 1958 for the private residence of an art collector in Columbus, Indiana (USA). For its construction, the designer couple abandoned the principle of the seat shell, instead stretching a panel of fabric or leather between two side aluminium supports to create a taut yet elastic seat. The chair conforms to the user's body and is extremely comfortable, even without elaborate padding. This sale concerns one chair with the option to purchase all three; they are all in excellent condition with only slight signs of patina related to use.
