Villeroy and Boch avant-garde nesting cutlery

This Villeroy & Boch stainless steel service for one was made in West Germany in 1971. It is hallmarked on the back of each piece. It was part of a collection designed by Helen von Both and Frederico Fabbrini and was part of the La Bomba picnic set, which is in the permanent collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. A U.S. patent was filed for the design in 1971 and awarded in 1973.
