Charles Zublena lounge chair

It was at the beginning of the 1960s that Charles Zublena created his first plastic works from his “RELAX” made of assembled solid wood pieces. The “EUROLAX R1” designed especially for “Club Med” in 1965 will equip all of the Club’s beaches. Its manufacturing by “Les Plastiques de Bourgogne” stopped definitively in 1983. This lounge chair from the “Eurolax R1” series by Charles Zublena is a cult and timeless object, exhibited in numerous design museums and presented at the Salon Design Elysée 2011 among other models. Perfectly following the shape of the body, the chair allows a light and very pleasant swing. The hull, in green relacquered fiberglass polyester, can be placed on the ground.
