This style is inspired by the forms and ornaments of the Italian and French Renaissance, often with a more massive and decorative interpretation. The turned baluster legs and the H-shaped stretcher adorned with turned elements are strong markers of this era, reflecting a desire to recapture the opulence and robustness of antique furniture. This type of furniture was generally used in living rooms or libraries to display decorative objects or as a side table. The table is made of wood, probably walnut or fruitwood stained to imitate walnut, with a beautiful dark patina.
