Antique Ghoum carpet from Iran in silk.

Authentic Iranian carpet - Ghoum extra 100% silk, entirely hand-knotted. It comes with the original certificate of authenticity, which will be provided with the carpet. The certificate, dated 1994, is sealed with the wax of Mr Alexandre Noël, judicial expert. Ghom carpets are among the most impressive and sought-after examples of Persian craftsmanship worldwide. In Qom (a city in Iran), all carpets are made using the finest raw materials. Qom silk is one of the highest quality in the world. The carpet is in very good condition and of a beautiful size. The colour shades are incredible, and the numerous floral patterns make it an exceptional piece. The back of the carpet has been photographed so you can see the amazing knot work. Dimensions: 200 X 134 cm including the fringes. It is clean and stain-free, with no tears or holes. There are two small frayed spots in one corner and on a border (see photos).
