Description
This iconic lamp was designed in 1954 by Max Ingrand, major figure in the Art deco. This is the same year that the famous french decorator became artistic director of Fontana Arte. For nearly a decade, it will create lamps that will become the classics of design and historical creations of Fontana Arte. The Fontana lamp part of course. Taking the archetypal figure of the traditional table lamp, Fontana is entirely blown glass (only the base under the base is painted metal). Max Ingrand was master glassmaker and completed many projects of artistic stained-glass windows for religious buildings, hotels and public buildings. The peculiarity of the Fontana lamp is the multiple ignition: the base and Lampshade contain several light sources. Differentiated lighting allows to meet various needs of lighting: the weak glow of the light of rest to the intense light of reading through an emotional light, atmosphere, obtained by indirect emission.
