Sculptural Lamp "Snake" – Memphis & Postmodern Aesthetic – Massive

Belgian design from the 80s, this lamp published by the house Massive. A representative model of the Postmodern / Pop Art era, which adopts the codes of the Memphis style, the lamp is a playful gesture ("toy-design"), using bright red bent metal: a primary colour dear to neoplasticism and a twisted cord: the electrical wire becomes a graphic element, no longer hidden. It is a piece that tells a story of a time when design sought to break away from rigidity to bring colour and emotion into interiors. Condition: Vintage piece showing pronounced signs of use.
