This tribe is renowned for producing some of the finest wool in the world and their rugs have a remarkably soft and fluffy texture. Each of our carefully selected blessed ouarain rugs has been woven knot by knot using ancestral techniques passed down from mother to daughter through the generations. The beni ouarain tribe traditionally uses raw wool, which is why it is more common to see these rugs in white/cream colors with natural black or brown patterns created by the wool of the black sheep of the flock. Today weavers enjoy greater artistic freedom by using colors based on natural pigments, which is why we have, to our greatest pleasure, pretty, colorful and thick béni ouarain rugs.
