Elegant pair of vintage wall sconces, probably dating from the 1970s-1980s. Their composition combines an inclined cylindrical body made of softwood, likely varnished pine, with a spherical opal glass globe that diffuses a soft light. The minimalist design, use of natural wood, and inclined shape evoke Scandinavian design as well as the warm atmosphere of mountain interiors in Les Arcs, reminiscent of Charlotte Perriand. However, no manufacturer or designer has been identified. Each sconce retains its original round plastic wall plate, which is fixed to the wall before the electrical connection, and then the wooden body clips onto it. Both sconces have been tested and are functional. They have small E14 screw sockets. Overall, they are in very good vintage condition, with discreet signs of use on the wood. The opal glass globes are in very good condition, with no visible chips. Dimensions of each sconce: – Total length: approximately 20 cm – Diameter of the globe: approximately 12 cm – Diameter of the wooden base: approximately 8 cm.
