Vintage statue Virgin Mary and baby Jesus

Vintage statue of the virgin mary and the child jesus in its bronze case. The statue is made of wood, crowned with 12 stars and encircled at the base with a pewter band. The virgin is represented as a crowned queen because queen of the sanctuary, of the city, of the province, of france and of the world. "crowned with stars, as john saw her in the apocalypse, because she is queen of the twelve apostles and of the universality of angels and saints. Mary is often represented in this way because all her life was a victory over the devil." she is in fact represented in this case, standing on the terrestrial globe from which two horns emerge. The bronze cylinder in which it is stored has a ring to probably allow it to be worn on the belt. Note a beautiful leather finish inside. Unusual and well-made object.
