Pair of brass candlesticks, Lars Holmström for Svenskt Tenn, Sweden, 1950

Elegant pair of solid brass Swedish Scandinavian candlesticks, dating from the 1950s. Each piece features a central tubular element to hold a candle. The tube is supported by three finely curved spiral legs, arranged perpendicular to the tube, giving the whole a balanced and sculptural appearance. Stamped J. HOLMSTRÖM under the central tube, these candlesticks are fine examples of mid-20th-century "Swedish Modern" design, combining functional simplicity and decorative artistry.
