Bauhaus chromed floor lamp, Czechoslovakia, 1930’s

This chromed floor lamp was designed and made in the former czechoslovakia in the 1930’s. It’s made of chromed-plated steel with milk glass shade. The simple shape of the lamp is related to the bauhaus period when minimalist shapes entered applied art. When switched on, the lamp creates a pleasant diffused light. The lamp is fully functional with new wiring in good original condition, the chrome shows slight sign of age and using. Height: 177 cm. Width: 40 cm. Depth: 40 cm. The sphere diameter: 25 cm.
