Pair of "Soleil" armchairs from the 50s

It is worth noting that the lower structure is intact, which is very rare for these models. The legs are slightly pitted, with a beautiful patina. Janine Abraham (1929 - 2005) and Dirk Jan Rol (1924 - 2017) met in 1947 at the Beaux-Arts – Linked in life as in work for forty-eight years, until Janine's death. She was one of the first French women designers, a pioneer in furniture design.
