Glazed earthenware vase with "birds" decoration, Manufacture of Salins-les-Bains.

This conical vase made of fine earthenware was produced by the Faïencerie de Salins-les-Bains in the mid-20th century. The body features a moulded relief decoration depicting two small birds perched on a branch. The neck of the piece flares out and is finished with a polylobed (scalloped) rim. The glazed surface is treated in a gradient, combining a white base with shades of salmon and mauve oxides applied to the animal motifs. The underside of the base bears a circular factory mark printed under the glaze: "SALINS LES BAINS - inalterable - Made in France", accompanied by a model number engraved in relief in the clay. Height 24.5cm, base diameter 15cm, top diameter 10cm.
