1950s/1960s dressing table. Flower marquetry, a top, a mirror, a drawer, and a niche. The legs are tapered with brass sabots, in the style of the period. Gilded edging. From the 1950s onward, bedrooms were decorated with dressing tables with large mirrors, bedside tables, wardrobes, and matching beds. Parisian department stores (nouvelles galeries parisiennes and galerie barbès) sold complete bedroom sets to young couples by catalog, which they would keep for the rest of their lives.
