Silver plate and spoon, Orfèvrerie Saint Médard, Paris, 1950

Antique birth gift set including a small silver-plated plate bearing the number 5 (5 grams of silver) and its silver spoon with the Minerva hallmark and the number 18 of the Parisian goldsmiths Saint Médard in the 1950s. The Saint Médard goldsmiths are a Parisian goldsmiths renowned for their silver and silver-plated creations. Founded in the 20th century, they excel in tableware and have been commissioned by crystal manufacturers to create and set silver rings on crystal pots. The set is in very good condition. There are a few small marks on the satin underneath the plate, but these are not a problem. This is a useful, aesthetic, and environmentally friendly birth gift. Plate diameter: 18cm.
