A unique, original lounge furniture set from the 1960s, representing an exceptional example of Mid-Century Modern design and masterful artisanal woodworking. The set was designed in collaboration with the renowned German wood sculptor and designer Heinz Heger and manufactured in the GDR (East Germany) by PGH Erzgebirgisches Kunsthandwerk Annaberg-Buchholz. The furniture is characterized by a striking form inspired by the Scandinavian organic style, combined with precise craftsmanship—the durable structure, crafted from high-quality solid oak, utilizes traditional joinery techniques, entirely without the use of screws or nails. The armchair model is often referred to as the "Hunting Chair" (*Jagdstuhl*). Originally, these pieces were produced primarily for the export market. The set consists of 5 elements: 2 armchairs featuring contoured armrests and comfortable backrests, 2 matching footstools that serve as a perfect extension to the armchairs, A coffee table with elegant proportions, featuring an oak tabletop with a sandblasted finish that highlights the natural wood grain.
