Louis XIV Commode Style

Elegant Louis XIV style chest of drawers, completely reimagined in our workshop, combining the charm of the old with a refined contemporary aesthetic. This piece stands out with its curved front, rhythmically arranged with drawers featuring flowing lines typical of the Louis XIV style, adding depth and character to the whole. Its solid wood structure rests on small ball feet, enhancing its classic appearance. We have carried out a complete refurbishment: – Repainted in a deep black shade, slightly satin finish. – Waxed to subtly reveal the reliefs and give it an authentic look. – Cleaned and restored the brass handles and keyholes, adding a bright and elegant touch. The brass ornaments, shaped like stylised stars, create a delicate contrast with the black and contribute to its unique decorative identity. This chest of drawers will fit perfectly in a classic, contemporary, or eclectic interior: as an accent piece in an entrance, bedroom, or living room. Some small holes from woodworm but treated, generally in good condition, slight intentional patina and discreet signs of use consistent with its history.
