Mid-century Sputnik ceiling lamp brass 1950s

Mid-century Sputnik ceiling lamp from the 1950s, made of brass with a lived-in, warm patina. The central shade forms the starting point of an open composition in which ten slender arms are evenly distributed. Five arms carry a socket, alternated with pointed, leaf-like elements that give rhythm and direction to the whole. The lines remain balanced from every angle and give the lamp a clear, architectural appearance. Due to its compact height, this type of lamp fits beautifully close to the ceiling. At the same time, the shape also lends itself well as a wall object, so the lamp can be used both as a ceiling lamp and a wall lamp. Over time, the brass has developed a soft sheen. Light signs of use and subtle discolorations add character and depth, without becoming distracting. In our workshop, the lamp has been checked and technically serviced. Ready for use.
