Pull-along toy Wilkins Company

Cast iron boat, pull toy, representing the famous paddle wheel boats, named City of New-York. Produced by the renowned Wilkins Toy Company from New Hampshire (1880 to 1919). This boat was manufactured between 1890 and 1895. Moulded in two parts assembled to fix decorations and mechanism with a slight opening at the front for the pull cord. A very beautiful object, which works, in its original condition with original paint showing natural wear at the edges due to age, as visible in the photos; otherwise, it has been assessed as being in very good condition for its age, with no breaks, cracks, or deterioration of the mechanism. An original piece where everything is original! Note the hand-painted text and decorations.
