Space Age pivoting floor ashtray in anodised gold aluminium – Mettawa

Elegant and sculptural, this pivoting floor ashtray perfectly embodies the Space Age aesthetic of the 1960s and 1970s. Produced by the Dutch company Mettawa, it captivates with its streamlined lines, visual balance, and anodised gold aluminium finish, typical of the era's futuristic design. The upper bowl adopts a wrapping shape, mounted on a slender base, giving the whole piece a presence that is both light and assertive. The push button is functional: the bowl tilts to allow for the ashes to be emptied, without an automatic extinguishing system, in line with this model.
