3 nesting baskets boxes in rattan or bamboo

Set of three charming nesting boxes made of very fine natural strands (bamboo. Wicker?) and beautifully woven. The edges of the boxes and lids are covered with black lacquer enhanced with a gold border. The boxes, whose shape evokes that of an apple, are covered with a transparent glossy varnish which makes them quite rigid. I would lean towards a provenance from china in the 60s. This set is in very good condition: solid, clean, no damaged strands. The largest measures 24 cm in diameter for a height of 15 cm, the second measures 20 cm in diameter for a height of 13 cm, the smallest measures 16.5 cm in diameter for a height of 11.5 cm.
