4 flat plates “Fine street light” KG Lunéville

Set of 4 flat plates in fine half-porcelain earthenware, stamped kg (keller & guerin) lunéville france, "fine street light" model. Decorated with roses (3) and tulips (1) on a white background; animated border, enhanced with a relief and a carmine red line on the edge. A plate has an original defect on the heel (no impact) and a chip on the edge (see the detail photos where these defects are arrowed); a few (rare and discreet) superficial scratches from use. A flagship of French earthenware, both fresh and majestic, the "fine street lamp" decor has its origins in Lunéville ca 1750, and has inspired others (eg, "old strasbourg" by Villeroy and Boch, "marlborough" by spode) and was published until May 2022, the date of the definitive cessation of the activities of the Lunéville & Saint-Clément kg manufactures. The plates offered here date from the 1980s. Diam. 24.5cm.
