Signed painting, landscape, boat on river, Poitevin marsh

Beautiful signed painting with a beautiful frame, the author of which I unfortunately have not been able to identify. The technique could be watercolor, or grease pencil, without certainty however. But what is certain is that the technique is mastered, the rendering is really interesting. It perhaps represents a view of the Poitevin marsh, which could be corroborated by the fact that the framer's workshop (Denis Guenet, master craftsman, stamp on the back) was located in Niort. Thanks to this stamp and the 8-digit telephone number, we can also date it between 1985 and 1996, or before if it was not framed until well after its completion. The frame is very well done, very pretty, superbly highlighting the work: fine gilded wooden frame, well-proportioned mat in off-white embossed paper or cardboard and gilded bevel. The whole is in good general condition, work intact, very clean back with kraft well in place, well insulated, only defect to note: a very small mark of blow on the edge of the frame and a very small stain between the mat and the glass. The frame measures 32.5 cm by 37.5 cm for a thickness of approximately 1.7 cm, allowing the work to be seen through a window of approximately 18.5 cm by 23 cm.
