Antique wooden saddle-shaped plateau, gilded metal and onyx, circa 1900.

Very beautiful antique tray table or small guéridon, made of veneered wood, gilded metal, and a white onyx top. Antique, circa 1880-1920, from the 19th-20th century. Square shape with an openwork gallery in gilded metal, a frieze of foliage, and significant appliqué ornaments on the wooden base. The upper tray is made of white onyx. This is the upper part of a piece of furniture that has now been stripped of its legs, which can be used as a decorative tray or display pedestal... 30x30cm, 8.5cm maximum height. Good overall condition considering its previous use and the absence of the original legs. There are some signs of oxidation on the metal, slight scratches on the onyx, and a slight play on part of the metal edge, without any particular inconvenience. Three corners of the onyx slab show old, stable cracks that are supported by the metal frame and the wooden board sealed under the stone. They remain relatively discreet. The fourth corner has a very small, discreet loss. The whole remains solid, harmonious, and very decorative. Approximately 3kg.
