Pair of mahogany chairs, witnesses of the know-how of the early 19th century, during the Restoration period. The wood, with its deep and warm color, reveals a fine grain enhanced by a waxed patina. The openwork backrest reminiscent of the cathedral shape displays a graceful line with volutes and balusters in turned wood. The traditional seat is covered with a used green tapestry surrounded by a braid. At the front, these chairs rest on double-swollen Jacobean legs, robust and finely carved. At the back, saber legs ensure impeccable stability. Perfect for decorating a living room, a dining room or a refined office, these chairs embody the marriage between tradition and elegance, and fit equally well in a classic or contemporary interior. ******** Period: 1st part of the 19th century Excellent condition of the structure, original fabric with wear consistent with age and use.
