This golden metal spring is unique. It has a very peculiar shape because the upper flap is shaped like a flower that actually looks like a thistle. It has a big size and it's heavy because it's really all iron. It's very interesting and even a bit strange. It's an old spring with some wear because although it holds photos and papers (see photos), it seems to me that it has little pressure, or rather, little holding force. I brought it from a street market; I couldn't find out anything about it, about its origin. The two flaps are worked, both the base and the top, but the flower shape is only on the top. In fact the top is all very worked, with a lot of details in high-relief. The back is plain. This spring can be hung on the wall because it has a hole in the back flap (see photos). It is therefore a very versatile spring, we can use it as a wall hanging spring. Sometimes it seems to me that it is a little warped because of the small unevenness of the upper part. All in gold metal, as I said, but already very darkened from the weather. The spring is working very well, it is in good vintage condition. The spring has already been used, of course, and as it is old one can notice the wear on the metal, besides being dark due to the normal oxidation of metal. I think the photos illustrate very well the state of the spring.
