Vintage French folding screen from the 1950s. The screen is made of pine and features an unusual flexible construction composed of thin vertical wooden slats. This allows the screen to be arranged in various curved and wavy shapes, creating a particularly sculptural appearance. Based on its design and construction, we believe the screen is very likely from Baumann, the famous French furniture manufacturer. However, as we have not found any label or manufacturer's stamp, we cannot confirm or guarantee this attribution. With its generous width of 250 cm, the screen is ideal as a room divider, privacy screen, or to create a separate dressing area. When not in use, its flexible construction allows it to be folded very compactly. The warm colour and pronounced vertical grain of the pine give the screen a beautiful natural appearance. The screen is in very good vintage condition, with only minimal signs of age and use. Dimensions Fully extended width: approx. 250 cm Height: 183 cm Weight: approx. 25 kg
