Napoleon III chair in gilded wood and pink velvet, old Chiavari wooden chair

Authentic chiavari chair from the napoleon III period, circa 1860, in gilded turned wood and coral pink velvet, decorated with palm leaves and foliage. It is stamped under the seat in the wood "benard paris", probably the cabinetmaker. It is in good general condition despite the fact that it is over 160 years old! The wood is in its juice, note: traces of the orange plate under the gold leaf, lack of gold in places, marks, uses and signs of age, traces of wood glue. The padding and the fabric of the seat have probably been the subject of a very good quality restoration. The velvet has a few marks including a black mark in one corner of the seat (visible in a photo). It will look magnificent in a contemporary or more classic interior! Give him another story! Dimensions: 88 cm total height / 44 cm long / 40 cm seat depth / 47 cm seat height. Weight excluding packaging: 4 kg (the fragility of this chair will require particularly important and careful packaging!). It is an old piece of furniture, it contains traces of time and imperfections which make it a unique object with a story!.
