Vintage 20thC Large Photograph Of A Boac Constellation Speedbird c.1950

A striking 20th Century photograph mounted on board, depicting a BOAC Lockheed Constellation “Speedbird” aircraft, nicknamed “Bangor 2” in tribute to its Second World War predecessor. Introduced in 1947, the Lockheed Constellation became a key part of British Overseas Airways Corporation long haul fleet, operating transatlantic routes between London, New York, South America and Australia until 1957. Known for its distinctive triple tail design and advanced engineering for its time, the aircraft played an important role in the development of post war international air travel. This impressive in flight image is believed to have originally been displayed in a BOAC boardroom, adding a strong sense of period authenticity and historical interest.
