The Médicis Fountain, Luxembourg Garden, Two Signed Watercolours

René Buignet has chosen to represent two aspects of the Medici Fountain in an original way: first, the back of the building, the most secret part, and the straight alignment of the basins. This tragic fate and premature death explain why few works and traces of the young artist have been preserved, while his talent is clearly visible in these two watercolours.
