The treatment of the petals, precise and regular, relies on measured side lighting, allowing for a clear reading of the volumes. The lower part brings together a collection of fruits arranged on a ledge, in a layout consistent with the practices of Northern European schools: bunches of grapes with distinctly individualised berries, pear, peaches, and cherries. The modelling of these elements reflects a constant concern for naturalism, also perceptible in the representation of a few insects scattered throughout the composition. The uniform background, in a brown tone, helps to isolate the main elements and enhances the overall readability. The execution, technically mastered, is distinguished by a coherent colour palette and a rigorous organisation of the planes. The paint layer is sound and shows no major alterations. The work is preserved in a gilded wooden and stucco frame, adorned with rocaille motifs at the corners and centres, in very good condition.
