Galo rooster statuette from Barcelos Portugal

This beautiful rooster, galo de barcelos, emblem of Portugal, considered a lucky charm, is also the typical souvenir that was brought back in his suitcases. Sometimes in ceramic, wood, metal, it is still available today in all its forms, key rings, magnets, statuettes, tablecloths ... This one is made of hand-painted aluminum and then varnished, with beautiful patterns and bright colors. It probably dates from the 70s or 80s. It is made of solid aluminum therefore non-deformable, heavy so stable on its base. It is in good condition but has some rare signs of its age: small and rare gaps on the paint (beak, ridge ridge). It is 18 cm high, 9 cm wide, 7 cm deep.
