Old French watercolour, signed VY, and dated 1894

Very beautiful old french watercolor, signed with the monogram vy, and dated 1894. It shows a wetland landscape, and is painted with great mastery, it's obvious that the artist had great control of the technique. The landscape transmits a lot of tranquility and peace. The frame is wonderful, with the original solid oak back, keeping some of the original nails. Both the painting and the frame are in very good condition. It measures 44 cm wide, 31 cm high and 2.5 cm deep.
