Rattan and bamboo rocking chair — Vintage bohemian style, 1970s

Style: Vintage / Natural Bohemian. Era: 1970s. Material: Woven rattan, natural bamboo structure. There are objects that carry within them the gentle sound of a slowed-down life. This rocking chair is one of them. Placed in a corner of light, it invites you to slip in, close your eyes, and let the rocking do its work — for the duration of a book, a coffee, or a well-deserved silence. The structure is entirely made of natural curved bamboo, hand-assembled with tight rattan bindings. The seat and the large rounded backrest are finely woven from solid rattan, both flexible and sturdy. The rocking base, composed of wide interlocking circular arcs, gives the whole piece a sculptural and graphic silhouette, very recognisable in the bohemian aesthetic of the 70s. Very good overall condition. Clean rattan, stable structure, smooth rocking. Dimensions: Width 57 cm — Depth 97 cm — Total height 97 cm — Seat height 40 cm. Seat depth measured at the armrest: 60 cm and 55 cm from the base of the backrest.
