Rattan and bamboo rocking chair — Vintage bohemian style, 1970s

This rocking chair is one of them. Placed in a corner of light, it invites you to slip in, close your eyes, and let the rocking do its work — for the duration of a book, a coffee, or a well-deserved silence. The structure is entirely made of natural curved bamboo, hand-assembled with tight rattan bindings. The seat and the large rounded backrest are finely woven from solid, flexible, and sturdy rattan. The rocking base, composed of wide interlocking circular arcs, gives the whole piece a sculptural and graphic silhouette, very recognisable in the bohemian aesthetic of the 70s.
