Viennese bistro chair in bentwood.it is a model that was created by kohn (n°55) in 1882 and taken over, in the same design and the same proportions, by several manufacturers such as thonet or fischel of which here is a rare example dating from 1910 ca (stamp and label in the seat belt). Originally canned, it was reupholstered in the 30s, trimmed on strap, covered with a thick hand-embroidered fabric of the time, finished under upholstery nails. Beautiful state of cabinetmaking, original patina. Chair still firmly assembled, stable and more comfortable than originally because of the upholstery that has retained all its dome. Nice room with double retro charm and bistro.
