Charming ceramic pitcher handcrafted and signed by J. Poussine, from the famous Sant Vicens workshop in Perpignan, active from the 1950s to the 1970s. This piece features a typical decoration of the workshop, with stylised patterns evoking plant and organic forms, in a warm palette blending browns, greens, and deep blues. The interior is brown glazed, characteristic of Sant Vicens productions. Each piece from this workshop is handmade, resulting in slight irregularities that contribute to its charm and authenticity. Incised signature under the base: “J. Poussines – Sant Vicens” Height: 16 cm. Width: 20 cm. Depth: 14 cm. Overall good condition. Note: a small chip at the base (see photo), which does not affect the solidity or overall aesthetics of the piece. The Sant Vicens workshop is renowned for having hosted many major artists and ceramists of the 20th century, in the tradition of southern French ceramics.
