Superb decorative ceramic plate from the mid-century created by the German ceramist Heinz Theo Dietz in his workshop in Königswinter, Germany. It features a magnificent deep blue glaze, enhanced by subtle purple tones, and is decorated with sgraffito geometric patterns in cream and black. The abstract radial decoration, reminiscent of a stylised dandelion flower, gives this piece a strong graphic presence. A beautiful example of German studio pottery from the 1950s–1960s, both decorative and highly sought after by collectors. The piece is signed and numbered (model 9a) underneath. Holes on the back allow for wall mounting, making it ideal as a wall plate or decorative object. ✣ Dimensions. • Diameter: 22 cm. • Height: 3.5 cm. ✨ Condition.
