Large floor vase Scheurich 265-42

Superb large vintage floor vase in ceramic from West Germany, produced by the famous Scheurich Keramik factory in the 1960s/1970s. This is model 265-42, sought after for its pure ovoid shape and large size of 42 cm in height. It features a beautiful floral and graphic relief/engraved decoration, typical of the folk/brutalist aesthetic of the time. It has a lovely textured glazed finish in cream and speckled ecru tones, revealing terracotta and chocolate hues in the depths of the relief through transparency. Perfect for a Mid-Century, Brutalist, or bohemian style. Impressed marking under the base: W. GERMANY 265-42. In perfect condition. No chips, micro-scratches, or cracks to report. Ideal placed directly on the floor or on a Scandinavian sideboard, either alone as a centrepiece or adorned with branches and dried flowers (pampas grass, eucalyptus).
