Framed botanical print of Fragaria Grandiflora

Engraving, botanical poster, print, Fragaria Grandiflora set under glass and framed in a beautiful wooden frame with a golden rose decoration. Drawing by Carlos von Riefel, an Austrian botanical artist specialising in the painting of fruits and flowers. Vintage engraving sold as is. While the cream-coloured background shows some marks, the colours of the strawberries and foliage are vibrant. The depiction of the strawberries is stunning, with meticulous details. The frame, also period, shows some marks and/or cracks related to its age. The details have been photographed, and the whole is quite charming. External dimensions: 50.5/36.5cm, Height: 4cm.
