Rare and exceptional original photograph of nasa, john f. Kennedy space center era, dated july 20, 1969. Nasa logo and caption typed on the back. In excellent condition, it depicts astronaut edwin eugene aldrin jr. Known as "buzz" aldrin posing in front of the famous stars - stripes, american flag deployed on lunar soil on july 20, 1969. He is the second man to have walked on the moon after neil armstrong, the latter is the author of this photograph during the apollo 11 mission. Many human footprints are visible in the foreground on the lunar ground accentuating the dramatic nature of the scene. The power wire of the television camera installed on the moon can also be seen on the ground. Period chromogenic print on kodak paper and marked: "this paper manufactured by kodak".
