The BA 1171 fiberglass chair was designed by Helmut Bätzner for Bofinger in West-Germany during the early 1960s. The stackable chair was launched at the 1966 Cologne Furniture Fair. The BA 1171 was the first single-piece plastic chair suitable for mass-production, made from compression-moulded fiberglass-reinforced polyester resin. It is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. This chair is in very good original condition.
