Extensible dining table by Baumann – Teak & Solid Wood – 1960s – Uniform Finish. A magnificent circular dining table produced by the prestigious French manufacturer Baumann in the 1960s. This model is a centrepiece of Mid-Century design. • Solid wood edges: The tabletop is surrounded by a thick solid wood border with rounded finishes, offering remarkable sturdiness and a silky touch. • Extensions with borders: The main advantage of this table lies in its two extensions, each featuring its own wooden border. Unlike standard models, the table maintains a perfectly uniform, full, and elegant line even when open. The sliding mechanism is not visible. • Iconic base: Its sculptural star-shaped central leg allows for free movement around the table without obstruction, a rare comfort for a vintage table. • Round (diameter 110 cm): Ideal for 4 people. • With 1 extension (length 150 cm): For 6 people. • With 2 extensions (length 190 cm): For 8 people. Condition: In overall good condition. The patina of the teak is superb and consistent between the tabletop and the extensions. A few discreet signs of use in line with its age, enhancing its authentic character. Dimensions: • Diameter: 110 cm. • Height: 74 cm. • Extensions: 2 X 40 cm (with solid borders) • Total length: 190 cm. Note: The table can be disassembled for transport.
