Set of six Henri II style chairs in carved oak, France, second half of the 19th century. High openwork backrest decorated with scrolls and foliage, pediment with a mask, turned legs with bulbous ends, caned seat with moulded apron, turned feet joined by an H-stretcher. Oak with a deep brown patina; the caning is intact on all six seats, with more noticeable wear on two seats. Sturdy joints. A complete set for an Henri II dining room or as a counterpoint in a contemporary interior. Seat height: 48 cm. Dimensions: Width: 47 cm. Height: 102 cm. Depth: 52 cm.
