Very beautiful ceramic vase/jug produced by Scheurich Keramik in West Germany in the 1970s. An iconic model of West German Pottery, referenced 417-42, recognisable by its sculptural silhouette and its caramel brown glazed decoration on a matte cream background. The piece has a superb decorative presence with its warm tones and textured glaze featuring organic effects typical of the Fat Lava period. It can be used as a large floor vase, a decorative pot, or simply as a sculptural piece. A very nice object for a seventies, wabi-sabi, minimalist, or contemporary country house interior.
