HST painting Jean RENAUT (1905-1979) "Still life with oranges and lemons" frame

Painting made in oil on embedded canvas signed jean renaut - see attached bio - and dated 1965. Superb workmanship and state of conservation. Very beautiful frame offered with the work. Panel size: 38/46 cm, with frame: 60/68 cm. Born in dijon in 1905, jean renaut, self-taught, quickly turned to painting, a passion to which he devoted his entire life. A painter known in the middle of the 20th century, he is mentioned in the “french artists”. Five of his works are part of the collections of the dijon museum of fine arts and recognized beyond france. He will exhibit regularly at l'essor, at les amis des arts, at the vauban gallery, at the château de flavignerot... His notoriety will also go well beyond france. The man whom critics called "the painter-poet" also participated in various exhibitions in germany, switzerland, hungary, yugoslavia, italy...
