Hydra floor lamp, designed by Pierre Folie and produced by Jacques Charpentier in France in the early 1970s. This sculptural light fixture rests on a square base, supporting five articulated arms ending in half-sphere reflectors, all in chrome-plated steel. Thanks to their flexibility, these arms offer a multitude of configurations, allowing the light to be directed as needed and transforming the object into a true light sculpture. Pierre Folie, a self-taught designer born in 1938, first distinguished himself by creating furniture and objects in stainless steel with innovative shapes. His creations, presented at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1969, attracted the attention of the publisher Jacques Charpentier. He then founded his own publishing house, Mobia, and in 1973 participated in the creation of the MOB 6 group, alongside designers such as Andrée Putman and Michel Boyer. Edition: Jacques Charpentier Used condition, metal slightly pitted in places.
